The Project
Project Falcon
An electric single-seat race car — Project Falcon — designed and built entirely by students at Centrale Nantes.
Powered by an EMRAX 228 electric motor on a tubular steel chassis with double-wishbone suspension, 13" Hoosier tyres on magnesium rims, and an LSD differential. No aerodynamic package for Year 1 — pure mechanical grip.
Our target: enter concept class at Formula Student France (Transpolis), August 2026.

Season 2025/2026
Team Formation & Concept Design
Recruit team members, define team structure, begin concept design and establish sponsor relationships.
Detailed Design Phase
CAD modelling, FEA simulation, component selection. Each department finalizes their subsystem design.
Manufacturing
Fabrication begins in university workshops. Chassis welding, component machining, electronics assembly.
Assembly & Testing
Full car assembly, systems integration, shake-down testing, driver training, and tuning.
Competition
Formula Student France (Transpolis). Our first time on track, competing against teams from across Europe.
Roadmap
Year 1: Concept Class
Design and enter FS France concept class with our EV — Project Falcon. Establish team processes and industry partnerships.
Year 2: Full Electric Competition
Compete with a fully built electric vehicle. Refine the EMRAX 228 powertrain, battery system, and chassis for on-track performance.
Autonomous — Someday
Long-term vision: enter the driverless category with sensor fusion, machine learning, and autonomous decision-making.
